Question No. 1: What is the MLA format?
Question No. 2: What is “parenthetical reference”?
Question No. 3: What is a “Works Cited” page?
Question No. 4: How is information on a “Works Cited” page organized?
Question No. 5: Can there be a parenthetical reference without it being cited or a work cited without it being referred to in the body of the text?
Each answer is worth 20 points. This is an exercise in researching a topic with which you have limited familiarity. Use as many sheets of paper (stapled together with your name on the first page) as needed to answer the questions; but keep in mind that the correctness of the answer and the form of its citation are more important than the length.
Extra Credit: Why is it necessary to list your date of access for on line authorities?
